Individual Therapy for Adolescents and Teens
When your child is anxious, overwhelmed, or pulling away, it’s hard to know how to help. Maybe they’re shutting down at school, constantly second-guessing themselves, struggling with heavy emotions, or stuck in negative thoughts they can’t seem to shake. I work with children and teens who are feeling the weight of school, social pressure, or wrestling with thoughts of giving up. In therapy, I help them slow things down, better understand their emotions, and build the confidence and tools they need to feel more like themselves again.
Individual Therapy for Adults
You’re the one everyone turns to. You keep it together, say yes even when you're overwhelmed, and overthink every interaction on repeat. On the outside, it looks like you’re managing — but inside, it feels exhausting. I work with college students and adults who deal with anxiety, perfectionism, and complicated family dynamics. Therapy can help you quiet the noise, stop second-guessing yourself, and actually feel more like you — not just the version everyone expects. This is your space to unpack, untangle, and breathe.
When you’ve lived through something traumatic — especially something that involved someone you were supposed to be able to trust — it can leave lasting marks. You might find yourself stuck in the past, replaying memories, avoiding people, struggling in relationships, or feeling like something is broken inside you. I work with children and adults who carry these invisible wounds — people who are tired of feeling on edge, disconnected, or not good enough. Therapy is a space to begin healing at your own pace, with someone who understands trauma and believes that what happened to you doesn’t have to define you.
Trauma Therapy
Parent Consultation
Supporting a child or teen who seems anxious, overwhelmed, or emotionally shut down can leave even the most caring parent feeling helpless and worn out. In parent consultation, I work with caregivers whose child appear high-achieving on the outside but are quietly struggling — perfectionistic, self-critical, people-pleasing kids who may be battling low self-worth, burnout, or even thoughts of self-harm. Together, we explore what’s going on beneath the surface, and I offer practical guidance to help you respond more effectively, support emotional regulation, and rebuild connection at home. Parents often leave feeling more confident, less alone, and better equipped to support their child’s growth.
About me
I’m a licensed psychologist who provides individual therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. I primarily specialize in evidence-based treatment for anxiety and depression related disorders. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients better understand and manage their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I’m also trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), which I use to support children and teens coping with emotional and behavioral challenges stemming from trauma.
I earned my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the APA-accredited program at Palo Alto University, where I gained experience across a range of therapeutic environments. I completed my APA-accredited predoctoral internship with Centerstone Consortium in Sexual Assault and Trauma Services, specializing in therapy for children, teens, and adults affected by trauma. I then completed an APA-accredited postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Child Psychology at Children’s Health, where I focused on treating adolescents with depression and suicidality through both individual and group-based interventions.
Outside of my work, I’m a mom and a wife, roles that continue to deepen my appreciation for the challenges and joys that come with raising a family. I’ve been living in Texas since 2019 and have happily embraced college football season — especially cheering on my alma mater, TCU. I also find calm and creativity in baking (especially when there's time to try a new recipe), and I share my home with two very curious (and occasionally mischievous) cats. These parts of my life keep me grounded and remind me daily of the value of balance, connection, and humor.
